ABOUT NESTLE
 I think Nestle is the prettiest black alpaca I have ever seen. She is rather stand-offish and does not really like the kids too much, especially when she has a cria at her side.
She hates to have her toenails cut and screams when we cut them. She sits down (cushes) and pulls her legs in underneath her to make it difficult.
 Nestle has had five wonderful crias for us. Her first was a boy we named Jeddah. In fact, Jeddah was our first alpaca birth. For some reason that day, I felt compelled to come home early from work, which I did. The kids and I decided to go to the library, so we went out to the car. When I went to get in the car, I glanced into the pasture. There were two legs sticking out of Nestle's rear end!!! So, with two young children in tow, I delivered Jeddah (and I admit, I was a nervous wreck).
 Nestle's second cria was a silver gray boy we named Baghdad. Then she had three black girls in a row: Nairobi, T'blisi and Niamey. They are all gorgeous and look a lot like Nestle. |
