What's Happening at Pax River Alpacas?
Alpaca Yarn & Fiber Shop is now open.
The shop is generally open Thurs-Sat,
but hours are flexible and we open by
appointment. Very short notice is fine.
The shop carries exquisite alpaca
yarns, alpaca blends (silk, bamboo,
flash, angora, merino) and unique
novelty yarns. We also carry hand
made alpaca scarves, hats, shawls, gifts, and needle-felting.
Feza yarns are coming soon.
Alpacas at the manger? Well, not exactly, but they were part of the live nativity at First Lutheran Church in Sunderland, MD. Pax River's Baghdad and Pax River's Little Guy enjoyed lots of attention and didn't mind the snow and cold one bit.
The Christmas market at Pax River Alpacas was a big success, even though the last day was snowed out - with 19 inches of snow!! Customers feasted their eyes and hands on super soft scrumptious alpaca yarn, scarves, hats, wraps, shawls and more. They they went outside to meet the alpacas and enjoy our 4 alpaca crias (babies).
